Bidor dot net has been born at last! After months of working in the background, we have managed to secure the domain and with some time stolen off work and leisure, Lord Bidor has been able to put the site together with WordPress as the main platform to get news about our beloved town via this site and social media.

Bidor town in B&W
Bidor town

For those who don’t know, Bidor is a small town located between Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur via the North-South Expressway (NSE). It is located south of Tapah, north of Sungkai, east of Changkat Jong and Teluk Intan, and west of the Titiwangsa Mountains.

Bidor is mainly an agricultural and industrial area. You will enjoy traveling to the town where plantations located on both sides of the trunk road are covered with lush greenery, guava, oil palm, and rubber plantations.

The economy of the town relies on food tourism where travelers made stops in the town for its well-known local delicacies and agricultural products. As this town is (still is) rather famous for its variety of food, travelers frequently choose to stop-by at one of the eateries before continuing their journey.

Please come back from time to time as this blog will be a hub for stuff pertaining to our hometown from news, tourism, foodies, and events.

Admin will have a new article bank set up for town folks to contribute news articles to the site. You will be credited with your name and source accordingly as a sign of thanks!

We are running a non-profit at the moment as this site was set up as pure fun. The site will continue to be in English to cater to the general population and international readers. Sections in Malay and Chinese will be considered in the future.

For now, let’s roll out this site with full glory. What say you Bidorians?
