In a shocking turn of events, a young lorry driver has lost his life in a tragedy on the expressway, on the North-South Highway. The incident took place at Kilometer 352.2 (southbound) in the early hours of this morning. According to reports, a team from the Bidor Fire and Rescue Station was promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving a call at 5.13 am.

Despite their best efforts, the 29-year-old lorry driver was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, having become trapped in the wreckage of the five-tonne vehicle. The drivers of the other lorry and trailer involved in the collision, however, were fortunate to escape unharmed.

The rescue operation was completed by 6.45 am and the driver’s remains have now been handed over to the police for further investigation. This is a developing story and we will bring you more updates as they become available.
