Bidor Kwong Heng is to be part of the partnership with SMG to mark the unveiling of a refreshed Kuali.com with an MoU signed for this cause.
The MoU was signed between SMG digital products and analytics senior general manager Freddy Loo, Bidor Kwong Heng Sdn Bhd managing director Khaw Teik Lye and BMS Organics general manager Terrance Tan at Menara Star here.
Present to witness the significant milestones were SMG chairman Datuk Fu Ah Kiow and Heritage Foods (Hong Kong) Limited managing director Daniel Saw.
Bidor Kwong Heng is one of the portfolio companies under Heritage Foods.
A video showing a refreshed Kuali.com website was revealed, followed by the signing of the MoU.
“Today is an important day and milestone for three reasons. First is to announce the partnership with Heritage Foods and BMS Organics for our Food Vertical collaboration, second the unveiling of a refreshed Kuali.com and third SMG’s Hari Raya celebrations.
“Being Malaysians, we love to celebrate, and we want to ignite Malaysians’ obsession with food,” said Loo in his speech.
Loo said for many years, they had accumulated a lot of content.
“We want to build a community of food lovers and an ecosystem for our partners of trusted brands,” said Loo, adding that a new Kuali app would be launched soon.
The app can be downloaded on Google Play and App Store and will have, among others, exciting features such as an Artificial Intelligence “Snap and Cook” function, over 40 food categories and new recipes daily.
Fu said the collaboration was significant because it was SMG’s first initiative to revamp the entire Kuali platform.
“Food has a big market and cuts across different communities and boundaries. We are honoured to have Heritage Foods, a brand that is widely accepted internationally.
“BMS Organics has 22 years of history and is a well-known local name. This MoU represents our initiative into e-commerce while promoting other products in Kuali,” he said.
Kuali is SMG’s food and recipe website since 1998.
