Two foreign nationals were killed and injured as a result of being struck by lightning while working in the vegetable garden at Kg.Baharu Coldstream, Bidor yesterday.
District police Chief Supt Somsak Din Keliaw said the incident happened at 5:45 pm, the victims were an Indonesian man, Aloysius Adggut, aged 37 years and a Bangladeshi, Mosaraf Miah, aged 48 years.
“The incident happened during heavy rain where the three victims are working in the vegetable garden with two co-workers before being struck by lightning.
“The deceased were sent to Slim River Hospital for post-mortem while the injured were sent for treatment at the nearby clinic.”
